edX is a massive open online course (MOOC) provider. It hosts online university-level courses in a wide range of disciplines to a worldwide student body, including some courses at no charge.

Courses are delivered one step at a time and are accessible on mobile, tablet and desktop. You do have to pay to upgrade which entitles you to completion certificates and tests to validate learning.

iversity.org is the European platform for online learning that enables universities to share a broad range courses with students from around the globe, providing them with the opportunity to earn recognised credentials. Warning: Their professional development courses, so called PRO-courses cost money.

Kadenze brings together the world's leading colleges, universities, and industry partners to provide the best online courses in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Design, Music, and Math.
Khan Academy (Not really a MOOC)
The organization produces short lessons in the form of YouTube videos. Its website also includes supplementary practice exercises and materials for educators. Khan Academy has no courses with start or end dates so it is not strictly a MOOC. There are also no teachers to review your progress or homework to be submitted. It is though a source of great ideas.

Free online courses. Pay for assessment if and when you are ready. Successful assessment translates into credits. You can study independently or with others.
Open Learning
OpenLearning is a MOOC platform that allows anyone to create, run, teach and enrol in a course (free or private). Point of difference is their "social media workflow to enable and encourage commenting and liking, meaning your course will foster a community of collaborative learners"
Udacity
Udacity is an online learning platform offering programs in app and web development, digital marketing, and more. They collaborate with companies like Google, Facebook and Amazon to build cutting-edge curriculum.
Udemy
Udemy is an online learning platform aimed at professional adults and students. As of Jan 2020, the platform has more than 50 million students. 80% of Fortune 100 companies use Udemy for employee upskilling! Topics include business, computer science, design and music.
